Farmington High School (FHS) Senior Morgan Parsons has been a dedicated member of the Drama Club since her freshman year. The 2025-2026 school year marks her fourth and final year appearing on the stage.
When she graduates, she will have performed in eight shows throughout her time at FHS. She has taken the stage as many characters in the past four years. In her sophomore year, she portrayed the character Bottom, a low-class weaver who is transformed into a donkey in Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Her Junior year, she played Velma Kelly, one of the star characters of Chicago: Teen Edition. From playing a lowly weaver to a murderer in the Cook County Jail, her ability to portray a wide variety of characters is just one of the many skills she’s honed throughout her time in the department.
While Parsons has shone on stage, her commitment to theater has also shown behind the curtain. Her strong leadership skills, determination, and ability to create connections already made her a natural leader. Then, at the end of her Junior year, Parsons was named President of the Drama Club for the 2025-2026 school year.
“FHS Drama has truly shaped my leadership skills over the years. My Freshman year I was new to the department and still trying to find somewhere to belong. Going from that to a Junior starting to take on new responsibilities to finally being a Senior who is the president of the club is indicative of much I’ve grown over the past four years,” reflected Parsons.

FHS Drama is a second family to Parsons, the club consisting of dedicated staff and students who spend long days and weekends together collaborating to make a performance. The club prides themselves on being a welcome community which is a safe space for everyone to be their true selves. With the fall play, You Can’t Take It With You and the winter musical Anastasia to go, Parsons is excited to lead the club to success in her final year.
“This department has meant so much to me throughout my high-school career and I hope to leave a lasting legacy,” shared Parsons.
