Three students from the Poetry Out Loud club participated in the School Poetry Recitation Contest  in the library on January 22.

Junior Pearl Liu won the competition and advanced to the State Regional Semi-finals. English teachers and co-advisers, Lauren Gallucci and Kaitlin McIntyre, have been preparing with students.

“It’s a really great experience for the students because they have true passion for poetry, and it allows them to practice public speaking skills to pursue their passion for poetry,” Gallucci said.
