Chloe Green publishes book through custom capstone
June 2, 2019
This year, senior Chloe Green took Custom Capstone as a way to delve into writing and publishing. After going through the process of the capstone program, she has become a self-published author.
Green had the idea of publishing a book through the capstone course since junior year. When the time came to start working on her yearlong project, she was ready.
The first portion of her book is strictly research-based and contains quotes from writers she interviewed. Within the second portion of her book, she wrote 11 chapters of creative nonfiction which are real stories and experiences from her life.
Green plans on continuing to write books based on her life.
“I really can’t believe how much I learned about myself and my writing skills during this process. I’m so glad I took this opportunity to self-publish a book. After experiencing the commitment and work ethic it takes to finish a book, I feel so much more prepared for college and my dream career,” Green said.
Next year, Green will be attending Wheaton College in Massachusetts and plans on double majoring in Creative Writing and Philosophy.
